Post-Operative Care

At South Florida Vascular Associates, your comfort, safety, and recovery are our highest priorities. With that in mind,  all of our vascular and embolization procedures are performed using minimally invasive techniques designed to reduce downtime and help you return to your normal routine as quickly as possible.

What to Expect After Your Procedure

After your procedure, you will remain in our office-based recovery suite for a few hours so our clinical team can carefully monitor your recovery. During this time, we will:

  • Monitor your vital signs
  • Ensure your comfort
  • Review post-procedure instructions with you and your caregiver
  • Confirm you are stable and ready for discharge

Our experienced staff will make sure you feel confident and informed before you leave.

Returning to Normal Life

One of the advantages of minimally invasive vascular treatment is the ability to resume your normal life quickly. In most cases, after spending a few hours in the office, patients can go right back to their regular daily activities the next day.

Depending on your specific procedure, you may be advised to:

  • Avoid heavy lifting for a short period
  • Wear compression garments if recommended
  • Stay well hydrated
  • Take prescribed medications as directed

Your provider will give you clear, personalized instructions tailored to your treatment.

Pain Management & Recovery

Most patients experience none to minimal discomfort following their procedure. Mild soreness or tenderness at the treatment site is normal and resolves quickly. Over-the-counter pain relievers are often sufficient, unless otherwise directed by your physician.

If you experience any unusual symptoms such as increased swelling, severe pain, fever, or signs of infection, please contact our office immediately.

Follow-Up Care

Follow-up appointments are an important part of any recovery plan. These visits allow us to:

  • Evaluate your healing
  • Assess treatment results
  • Address any questions or concerns you have

At South Florida Vascular Associates, we are committed to providing advanced vascular care with minimal disruption to your life. From procedure day through full recovery, you can expect attentive care, expert treatment, and a smooth transition back to your everyday activities.
